pgEd meets with i.am.angel at Roosevelt HS in Los Angeles

March 8, 2013Written by pgEd

2013_RooseveltHSJoan Horvath of the National University Community Research Institute and Ting became acquainted at the recent AAAS Symposium, and this ultimately led to Ting being able to spend the day at Roosevelt High School in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, California on March 5th. Hosted by Enrique Legaspi (i.am angel Chief of Staff – Boyle Heights), she met with several classes of students, whose science projects in the classroom were more than impressive. She was also able to meet with a few dozen students belonging to i.am College Track and was energized by the drive in the room. After meeting with students, she met with Enrique, Joan, Nick Agid (Agid Arts), Lilly Kam (I.am angel Foundation), and Michael Rosoff (i.am.angel Foundation) to brainstorm about next steps. A most interesting day with promise of more to come!
