Marnie has been invited to share PGED’s work with biology students at Tufts University, as part of a course on “Transforming Science Learning Through Civic Biology: A New Program to Connect Biology to Civic and Social Impact”.
Rob is attending ASHG and presenting a poster on PGED’s collaborative approach with teachers to develop our lesson plan and resource library. “Building awareness, respect, and confidence about genetics through science education partnerships.”
Rob will be an exhibitor at the MD/DC Society of Genetic Counselors (MDCGC) Annual Education Conference. He will share PGED resources, and meet and learn about/from the local genetic counselor community.
Rob will be an exhibitor on behalf of PGED at the BioTech/Health Expo at Roberto Clemente MS. The event is part of the month-long MD STEM Festival. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND IS EXPECTED TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 2024.
Rob will be an exhibitor at the MD STEM Expo at Morgan State University, to facilitate conversations and reflections on genetics among attendees (primiarly middle- and high-school students and families from the Baltimore area).
Rob will discuss his experiences and some best practices for science engagement with faith communities, drawing on his work at the AAAS-Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion program as well as PGED’s activities in this space.

Robin will be a guest speaker as part of Boston Day & Evening Academy’s “Project Month”, sparking students’ interest in topics related to genetics.
