Marnie is looking forward to visiting Norwell High School to meet with Craig Belmore's 12th graders who are studying "Literature of the Utopias." Marnie is going to share some of the opportunities and complexities of the exciting world of personal genetics.

pgEd at Boston Day and Evening Academy

pgEd is excited to return to Boston Day and Evening Academy (BDEA) to work with students and discuss personal genetics, and hear their thoughts about how genetics currently impacts them, and how it may impact them in the future. pgEd has worked with BDEA for several years, and we always enjoy talking with students there!

Youth WOKE workshop

Fabienne, CJ, and Florcy will be giving a presentation on Race, Culture, and Identity for WOKE (Working on Knowledge and Education), a student-led forum in the Boston Public Schools to address racial and gender issues.

Introduction to personal genetics and society

Dana Waring will be visiting with the 7th grade science students at Brunswick Junior High School in Brunswick, Maine.  Topics of discussion will include personal genetics, privacy, and de-extinction.

pgEd Teen Ambassador Summer Program (TASP)

The pgEd team will be presenting our third and final summer session at the Mattapan Teen Center, an affiliate of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. We will be presenting on DNA , Crime and Law, as well as a mini-workshop on Sex and Gender, as voted on by the students.
