pgEd’s director, Ting Wu, is a juror for the Alfred P. Sloan Prize, given at the Sundance Film Festival for depiction of science in a feature film. This year’s jury also includes Kerry Bishé (star of the AMC series “Halt and Catch Fire”), Mike Cahill (who won the Sloan Prize in 2011 for “Another Earth” and in 2014 for “I Origins”), Shane Carruth (who won the Sloan Prize in 2004 for “Primer”), and Clifford V. Johnson (USC professor and co-director of the Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities).
