Northeast Regional Conference on the Social Studies

pgEd will be presenting our lesson “Using Primary Sources to Understand the American Eugenics Movement” at the Northeast Regional Conference on the Social Studies conference in Sturbridge, MA on Tuesday, April 5th at 1:45 pm. This is one of two pgEd lessons that address the American Eugenics Movement and ask students to consider how we as a society can avoid the mistakes of the past to take advantage of the promise of genetics.
The conference runs from April 4-6, and will include exciting speakers including Terrence Roberts, one of the “Little Rock Nine” who desegregated Central High School in Little Rock, AR., and Pulitzer-prize winning author Daniel Walker Howe. Learn more and register here.
