ONLINE – PGED Educator Workshop on Personal Genetics in Society
July 15 - July 22
Personal genetics can impact our lives in many ways. This workshop will explore personal genetics’s societal implications.
This workshop includes both asynchronous, module-based learning and live course chats via Zoom with a total course load of an estimated 10 hours. We will meet via Zoom on Monday, July 15 & July 22 from 3-5 pm Eastern.
Attendees will receive PGED curriculum and learn how to integrate discussions of ethical, social, and legal implications of personal genetics into their classrooms. We welcome all educators, especially teachers of grades 8-12, college professors, and administrators who teach a variety of disciplines, including biology, biotechnology, ethics, civics, history, health, humanities, law, and social studies.
