Inclusive SciComm Symposium

Rob and Gill will attending the Inclusive SciComm Symposium and presenting a session entitled “Exploring Diverse Perspectives on Personal Genetics: A Skill- and Confidence-Building Workshop” for attendees interested in participating in or facilitating science engagement with diverse audiences, with a focus on genetics. The workshop will incorporate best practices (accessibility, setting community norms, and interactive activities for sharing/learning) as well as short presentation segments by facilitators. While content will focus on genetics, workshop activities will be relevant to science communication and engagement on a wide range of topics. The workshop content centers on exercises and facilitated conversations drawing on freely available resources developed by pgEd.
