Lauren had a great time presenting at the Northeast Regional Conference on the Social Studies on April 8th. It was a great discussion with social studies teachers about the history of the American Eugenics Movement and how we can prevent new genetic technologies from being misued in the future. We also discussed the use of DNA in crime investigations and the related ethical implications. It was great for this former social studies teacher to connect with teachers in the classroom!
