MassBioEd Professional Development

September 12, 2013Written by pgEd

PgEd is excited to be part of a free one-day biotechnology education workshop offered by MassBioEd. PgEd will prepare participants to teach a lesson that explores the question of who is responsible for ensuring that athletes with medical conditions, such as sickle cell anemia, are both safe and treated fairly. This workshop includes six laboratory experiences designed or updated by BioTeach teachers for fellow science teachers. The goal of this workshop is to expand laboratory options for BioTeach teachers to allow them to more fully utilize the equipment and skills provided through BioTeach program. Workshop participants will be provided with classroom lesson plans and activities. The workshop is free, and will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 8:00am-4:00pm at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For more information and to register, go to:  https://www.massbioed.org/events/50-bioteach-and-beyond-teacher-professional-development-workshop
