New genetic technologies are allowing us to assess and alter our own DNA and that of other living things, which brings excitement about the potential for treating disease, as well as fear that some applications could lead to serious harms. This program will explore the history of genetics and how this history may be relevant in discussing the benefits and implications of forefront genetic technologies.
