DESCRIPTION:We will lead a workshop for symposium attendees interested in participating in or facilitating science engagement with diverse audiences\, with a focus on genetics. \nThe workshop will incorporate best practices (accessibility\, setting community norms\, and interactive activities for sharing/learning) as well as short presentation segments by facilitators. While content will focus on genetics\, workshop activities will be relevant to science communication and engagement on a wide range of topics. \nThe workshop content centers on exercises and facilitated conversations drawing on freely available resources developed by pgEd.
