  3. NEW SNAPSHOTs Available and Update to our Ancestry Testing Lesson!
April 22, 2021Written by Nadine Vincenten

NEW SNAPSHOTs

Adding to our library of short, self-directed learning modules, check out the new SNAPSHOTs on Admixture Testing and Human Genetic Variation.

These modules explore human genetic variation and ancestry testing through animations, student worksheets, and an activity that supports student understanding that ancestry test results are not definitive, but rather estimates of a person’s probable ancestry. These lessons are freely available on our website as well as PBS Learning Media (adapted to fit with clips from Finding Your Roots – Season 7).

Ancestry Testing Lesson Update

pgEd’s lesson “How Does Ancestry Testing Work? Exploring Admixture Testing” has been updated. Visit our Lesson Plans page to see what’s new!
