Strategies for Addressing The Achievement Gap in Boston Public Schools

November 20, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

pgEd, in partnership with Boston Public Schools’ Office of Opportunity and Achievement Gaps, will present information on how pgEd professional development workshops can address the educational achievement gap. pgEd uses an evidence based approach to inform participants about advanced genetic research and technologies which allows teachers to confidently present lessons to students that are engaging, culturally relevant, and inspires discourse about the social, ethical, and legal concerns these advances raise.

Featured speakers will be Dr. Ting Wu (pgEd Director and Professor of Genetics; Harvard Medical School) and Dr. George Church (pgEd Advisor and Professor of Genetics, Harvard Medical School).
