Biotech and its Representations in Popular Culture: Orphan Black

Marnie and Johnny have been invited to speak at a panel on the Canadian television series Orphan Black, a featured event at the Duke University Health Humanities and Social Justice conference on Sept 14-16. They will bring perspectives from genetics and public engagement to this discussion, organized by Profs. Everett Hamner (Western Illinois U) and Priscilla Wald (Duke U), and also featuring Cosima Herter (Orphan Black science consultant), Mackenzie Donaldson (Orphan Black co-producer) and Prof. Rebekah Sheldon (Indiana U Bloomington).
