2013 marks the 10th anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project, the first sequencing of the human genome, and the 60th anniversary of the discovery of the DNA double helix. To celebrate these achievements, our colleagues at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) are focusing their 8th Annual DNA Day Essay Contest question on the many impacts of these breakthroughs.
